Bhakti Reels shows short Bhagavad Gita shlok reels. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection small and we do not sell your data.
1. Who we are
Bhakti Reels is developed and operated by an individual developer in India. Contact: aji.yash13@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Browsing without an account. When you open the app, it creates an anonymous account identifier automatically, with no name or email. This lets the app remember your likes and preferences on your device.
If you create an account (optional). We collect your email address, a password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider) and the display name you choose.
Things you do in the app.
- Likes and reels you hide.
- Reports you submit about a reel, with the reason you give.
- Preferences: language, sound default, and interests or themes you pick.
- Reel activity events, such as a reel being viewed, watched, completed, skipped, hidden, or failing to play, with watch time. We use these to order reels for you and to find playback problems. They are tied to your account identifier.
On your device. The app stores some settings locally on your phone (for example your language choice).
What we do not collect. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, advertising ID, or payment information. The app requests only the Internet permission. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
3. How we use data
- To run the app: show reels, keep your account, save likes and preferences.
- To personalise the order of reels.
- To review reports and keep the content respectful.
- To find and fix bugs and playback failures.
4. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data and we do not share it for advertising. The app's data is stored and processed by our backend provider, Supabase, in its Mumbai, India (ap-south-1) region, acting as our service provider. When you tap Share, the app hands text to Android's share sheet, and the app you pick receives only that text.
5. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to stored data is restricted with row-level security so that people can only access their own records. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
6. Retention and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and the data linked to it, including likes, hidden reels, reports, preferences and activity events. 7. Children
Bhakti Reels is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data by emailing us. We aim to reply within 30 days.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app.
